Dear all,
An update for our most loyal guests
It has been hushed on our side for quite a few months, but Foodistory is back! Let me give you a quick recap of what happened this past year and why we stopped writing Edits. After graduating, both I and Stefan began working in the catering business in Rotterdam. Due to the long hours and busy workdays, we couldn’t find the energy and time on our weekends to keep on writing Edits for Foodistory. The past Edits took always lot of our time due to the time we had to put into researching each topic.
Up until a week, ago Stefan and me used to live together in Rotterdam. However, last week I moved to San Sebastian to enrich my knowledge about the subject of cooking. And so the many years of sharing a kitchen and cooking together have unfortunately come to an end, something I will miss dearly.
With me moving out and working abroad an idea popped into my head. I began missing writing about food and sharing stories with you. After much pondering, the following idea was conceptualized:
The Rebrand
Foodistory is returning in a different format. The bi-weekly newsletter will still hold its classic historical feature but a few things will change… Firstly, Stefan will distance himself from Foodistory (for now), and I will take over from this point forward.
Second, Foodistory will become a mix of a newsletter and a chef’s blog. Foodistory will become an online notebook of a chef working in multiple kitchens in different places. I will write insightful stories of the kitchen, newly learned recipes and cooking techniques, and of course the history of certain foods. Think of it as an ongoing biography chronicling the life of a chef in training. I’ll start with publishing Foodistory bi-weekly, just as before, and we'll see where it goes from there. The first Edit will be published on Friday the 15th.
I'm excited to start this new chapter of Foodistory with you and share my notes, stories, recipes, and experiences with all of you. If you know people who might be interested in this, please share!
And so, the feast continues at last! Let’s have it!
Abrazos,
César
Nice Cees!! 🙌
